Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 30, 2026
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. This page explains the ones Kalamkari House uses, and which ones need your permission first.
1. Strictly necessary (always on)
Signing in, keeping items in your cart, and checkout all require a session cookie set by our login system. Without it, the site can't remember that you're signed in between pages. This cookie doesn't track you across other websites and can't be switched off, since the site can't function without it — it's treated as a core part of providing the service you asked for, not as tracking.
If you switch a product list between the grid and vertical grid views, a small cookie named kh_view remembers which you chose, for a year, so lists open the way you like. It holds only that word and isn't used for anything else.
If you choose a language for these information pages, a small cookie named kh_lang remembers it, for a year, so the other pages open in the same language. It holds only the language's code.
2. Analytics (only with your consent)
If you accept the cookie banner, we set a first-party cookie named vid (valid for one year) so we can tell how many separate visits our site gets and which pages are popular. It doesn't contain your name or identify you personally, and we don't share it with any third-party ad or analytics network — it only feeds our own internal dashboard. If you decline, or haven't answered the banner yet, this cookie is never set and no visit is recorded for your browser.
When you arrive from one of our social media posts, our link-in-bio page or a shopping listing (for example Instagram or Google Shopping), your browser remembers which one it was (just its name and the time), so that an order you place counts towards it. With your consent it is kept in your browser's storage for 30 days; without, only until you close the tab. It never identifies you.
Pieces you open are listed under “Recently viewed” on product pages and in your cart, so you can find them again. The list (only the pieces' web addresses, at most 12) stays in your browser and is never kept by us: with your consent for 30 days; without, only until you close the tab. The “Clear” link next to the list empties it at any time.
3. Advertising (only with your consent, if enabled)
If we ever run Google Ads campaigns, a Google advertising cookie would load only after you accept the cookie banner, so we can measure whether an ad led to a real order. It stays off entirely if you decline.
4. Your choice
You can accept or decline non-essential cookies from the banner shown on your first visit. To change your mind later, clear this site's cookies from your browser settings and reload the page — the banner will appear again.
